Abreast In A Boat made its presence known with an information booth at the Ladner Market on June 27, 2010.

Despite the gloomy, overcast and sometimes damp weather the market was well attended by the public. This market hosts a variety of booths, with food, crafts, plants, music and a sundry of many other interesting things to see and do. The market has grown in stature in the over the past few years with people from all over Lower Mainland coming to stroll the streets and stop and check out all the unique booths.

Abreast In A Boat was no exception. We had our information booth set-up as well as a portable DVD playing a video of a practice session on the Deas. Abreast In A Boat members from the Deas crew,  manned the booth from 10 am – 4 pm and all reported quite a bit of interest. In fact we had 8 people sign our book requesting more information.

Thanks to all those who helped in the transport of the  equipment, the set-up and especially those smiling faces in fuchsia jerseys who welcomed the public to learn more about Abreast In A Boat.
