A Season of Adventure

We are getting close to the end of another season without paddling.  Something we never imagined… not in our wildest dreams! Who would have thought during these trying times we would come together virtually and socially distanced to “Adventure Around the World”?  BUT WE DID!!!!

We walked, ran, cycled, gardened, paddled, and swam around the world!  Our path zigged and zagged in order to accommodate the many zooms calls in Ireland, Italy, South America, Australia, Maui and Canada. It was great to make connections with so many teams from so many different countries. We laughed and we cried, we shared memories and heartfelt stories.

We adventured beyond the finish line and traveled 51449.82 kms! There is just no stopping us!

It was amazing to see how much gratitude there is around the world for Dr. Don, our originals, and for Abreast In A Boat as the founders of Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boating. From those seeds planted, outrigger canoe paddlers and our own prostrate cancer survivors, “Butts In A Boat” have been formed!

Ladies you should be extremely proud of yourselves!  This was no small feat!  Hang in there! Keep up your positive spirit!  Paddling is in sight as Covid-19 recedes and we move toward getting back into our beloved dragon boats!

It is possible we may need bailers for the boats as there will definitely be buckets of tears of joy, happiness and gratitude when we step back into our boats!
